Is a Mercedes G-Klasse a long distance vehicle? If one asks the question whether this automobile is also suitable for longer distances, one has to consider different aspects, comfort, tank volume, top speed...

The tank capacity of 100 liters leads one to believe that drivers of a Mercedes G-Klasse could cover long distances with it. However, if you look at the average consumption of 9.6 liters / 100km, it quickly becomes clear - with a corresponding gas foot, you have to expect frequent fuel stops. An important criterion for frequent drivers: the top speed. This is 199 km/h and is thus quite suitable for long distances if you don't want to permanently stay above the 200 mark. At least as important on long journeys is the comfort and interior space. With a length of 4606 mm, the car is one of the big ones - adequate suspension, upholstery and noise insulation should be standard here.

The air suspension ensures a comfortable interior and good roadholding at any speed and on any road surface. Not cheap, but an absolute must for frequent drivers. The Mercedes G-Klasse is generously dimensioned, has numerous comfort features, and can be moved at a reasonably brisk pace - if it weren't for the short range. If that doesn't bother you, this vehicle is an extremely comfortable long-distance companion.
