Can the BMW iX I20 xDrive40 also be used off-road? Here usually a distinction is made between "soft-roaders" and real off-roaders. The BMW iX has all-wheel drive, which means that the basic requirement is already met. Ground clearance, another important criterion, is 202 mm for this vehicle. This allows it to move forward even in hilly terrain and, for example, on muddy paths in the forest without sitting up, assuming all-wheel drive.

Rating: The BMW iX has all-wheel drive as well as acceptable ground clearance. Occasional off-road excursions are no problem. However, it is not a real off-road vehicle.
