Is a CUPRA Leon a long distance vehicle? If one asks the question whether this automobile is also suitable for longer distances, one has to consider different aspects, comfort, tank volume, top speed...
The tight fuel tank capacity of 40 liters forces the driver of a CUPRA : car_offers-model-model_generation-base_models-base_model_name to make refueling stops at short intervals, even if the average consumption of 6.7 liters per 100km is not above average. An important criterion for frequent drivers: the top speed. This is 250 km/h and is thus definitely suitable for long distances. At least as important on long journeys is the comfort and interior space. With a length of 4657 mm, the car is one of the big ones - adequate suspension, upholstery and noise insulation should be standard here.
The integrated distance cruise control ensures both safe and relaxed travel by automatically maintaining both the speed and the distance to the vehicle in front. Of course, air conditioning is a must for comfortable journeys. Here, even an automatic air conditioning system is installed, i.e. the air volume and temperature is automatically adjusted to the interior temperature, while a simple air conditioning system has to be operated manually. In unclear parking situations, the built-in rear view camera helps to avoid accidents. The integrated lane departure warning system helps the driver stay on the lane. The driver is warned of objects in the blind spot should an attempt be made to change lanes.
The CUPRA Leon is rather unsuitable for regular long journeys due to its short range, limited interior space and lack of comfort features such as air suspension and a distance cruise control.
